Runner's Studio - Release Notes

New and improved calendars! This version instroduces a revamped monthly calendar which not only looks better, but gives you more flexibility and viewing options. You can add workouts, races, and training sessions directly to your calendar by right clicking on any day. Furthermore, the weekly planner is now merged with the monthly calendar. You will notice you can now toggle between month and week calendar views. Finally, you can now setup workouts to recur weekly.

New and Improved Calendars

  • The old calendar has been completely revamped to be more usable and show more information. New Feature!
  • You can now view more than two items on your monthly calendar. Optionally view races, activities, and/or planned workouts. New Feature!
  • Planned workouts can now be configured to have a weekly recurrence. New Feature!
  • You can have more than one planned workouts for any given day. New Feature!
  • Quickly add races, activities, and planned workouts directly from your calendar. Simply right click on a date to add a calendar item. New Feature!
  • More details about your workout can be shown on your calendar. Added a toggle button to show less or more details for your calendar items. New Feature!
  • The weekly workout planner has been merged into the monthly calendar. The month calendar now has a toggle option between week view and month view.
  • Added link on Monthly calendar to jump to the current date.

Miscellaneous Features

  • By popular request, statistics for a course are now separated by activity type. Navigate to your course management screen (menu Training --> Manage Courses) to view these stats. New Feature!
  • Increased max meters and yards distance from 1000 to 10,000. This change was applied to numerous screens.
  • Continued to improve performance in the software. Improved performance of header statistics calculations, main charting screen, and the activity log.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed rare issue on Race Results and Upcoming Races screens where customizing columns could cause those pages to become unloadable.
  • Fixed display issue on My Profile screen. When viewing a profile history entry, the Body Fat % was being displayed for the Max Heart Rate value in the top display area. (Note, the data underneath is correct – this was a display issue only.)
  • Fixed weight goal progress text. It was incorrectly displaying weight in kilograms when user preference was set to pounds.
  • Fixed issue when editing personal information (name, birthday, and gender) the Save button was initially disabled.
  • Fixed issue where 2.2 users were having trouble viewing GPS runs in Google Earth.
  • Email to a Friend option on the activity detail screen has been fixed. Formatting in the email sent has been fixed to work in most email clients.
  • Fixed bug on the Training Log where user defined activity types were not being highlighted in the mini-calendars.
  • Refined average heart rate calculation on Garmin Forerunner import. The new calculation now factors in the amount of time ran per split per average heart rate value.
